You should replace the crank seal at the same time. Just used the damper bolt and it went on easily. I did not need the installation tool however to reinstall the damper. You will need a bolt on stearing wheel puller to remove the crankshaft vibration damper. My sporckets were very easy to pull off by hand.

If you don't have the timing right, cam and crank get out of alignment, you will have to do it over again. If you are not careful you could also end up replacing the front oil seal on the cover. Little things like tearing the front of the oil pan gasket can mean additional work and you should plan on having things like an extra gasket.
